Now that laneway 2013 is over and done with I don't have anything to look forward to now . So I tried writing down a to-do list and plans but I swear if my notepad could speak it would say ' dude why is your life so boring ... ' haha I don't know why but I imagine if every inanimate object could talk , their voice would be a ' totally kyle ' voice .

Laneway was great despite the scorching hot weather ( the sun made out with everyone ) and ridiculously overpriced water ( screw you fiji water aka bitch water ) . Plus the stupid ' no outside food and drinks' rule . I'm totally okay with not eating but not drinking water ?! I actually sneaked it 3 bottles of water ( they threw out one lol ) but that wasn't sufficient at all . I didn't expect the weather to be so hot ! I had tan lines under my tan lines . Also there were problems with the sound system , a lot of technical faults but eh they got it fixed so , alls good .

I looked forward to Yeasayer the most even if it was my second time seeing them . They started off with Longevity from their latest album Fragrant World . I pictured Chris aging while singing lmao . Their set was a satisfying mix of old and new songs . Incidentally I felt like their set was too short ? It was after Chris said he thinks he's losing his voice  I got paranoid and thought oh crap are they gonna cut 2/3 songs off ?! They played the classics , 2080 , Ambling Alp and ONE . Ahh it was great , also reliving memories from laneway 2011 when they played 2080 . I thought about shouting ' ANAND YOU'RE A GREAT DAD ! ' and ' IRA YOUR ARMS LOOK GREAT ' but uh thats a 10 on the creepy scale .

By the way this is a very short and honest review on laneway 2013 . All I want to say is , I had a great time , Tame Impala was on fire they were A+ , Alt-J was very refreshing ,  Polica is really amazing live I kept turning to Mercy saying ' wow she's amazing ' , Kimbra is made of happy pills , Cloud Nothings made me feel like a teenage boy who just doesn't give a shit , Japandroids and Divine Fits made me feel like a teenage boy who doesn't give fuck , Nicolas Jaar was as smooth as , Gotye was as cool as ( though I was quite bumped he didn't play my favourite song ' I Feel Better ' ) Bat For Lashes really hit me during Laura , Real Estate was adorably awkward and they played new songs ! Kings Of Convenience was the perfect opening band , Erlend Oye IS the greatest dancer out there , singing along with Of Monster and Men made me feel really happy inside . The kind of happy that fills your soul , my soul says ' thank you for that ! '

I didn't take as many photos as I did at laneway 2011 because I didn't want to be occupied during the sets .

I'd rate this festival an 8.5 /10 ( points lost due to lack of hydration stations and constant technical difficulties )

shout out to the guy who gave a free can of redbull right before Tame Impala's set . really appreciate that bruh my stamina was about to drop to 0 .

nothing annoys me more than an obnoxious group of white girls in bikinis and body paint I mean excuse you please take your painted and exposed body somewhere else YOU FREAKING STAINED MY SHIRT . also some gig goers who decided to put on native headgears . whatever the hell for ?! you're just blocking people's view . what are you doing ? culture appreciation ? gtfo .
